Armen Ashotyan: ‘No final decisions on participation, no decisions on a ballot’

October 19,2018 21:13

“Don’t confuse us, things are moving forward in the way they should,” said RPA Executive Body member Armen Ashotyan regarding questions from reporters about how during the Executive Body meeting, the RPA decided that they will be participating in the upcoming snap elections in December.

The top five members of the RPA ballot have even spread across the media. According to this, the ballot will be headed by former Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan, then Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Arpine Hovhannisyan, former Minister of Justice Davit Harutyunyan, Vice President of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov, and President of the Foreign Affairs Committee Armen Ashotyan.

“I understand the media’s interest in the RPA’s participation and ballot, but the information presented does not correspond to reality,” said Armen Ashotyan, adding that the statement published by the RPA Executive Body is sufficient for now and answers all questions. “We have not made any final decisions about participation and we have not decided upon a ballot.”
