Dear Mr. Prime Minister,
It is known that Alaverdi was created as a copper center, and over the past 2.5 centuries, it has also been one of the mining centers of our country. The city’s residents’ lifestyles have mainly been connected to the Alaverdi copper enterprise. Today, the 650 workers at the factory face a huge problem: the danger of not being able to provide their families’ daily bread.
The Alaverdi Copper Factory has technically ceased all activities as of October 19th, 2018.
As a native of Alaverdi, I call upon you to do what is possible and impossible so that the Alaverdi Copper Factory can continue to work. Otherwise, 650 families may be forced to emigrate. I am prepared to do my best in supporting the government to avoid the factory’s final closure.
Closing the Alaverdi Copper Factory is unacceptable, and is full of serious consequences. I will stand by my fellow citizens in this fight.
