Life at the military bases

October 21,2018 20:40

Gunshots coming from enemy positions are frequent here, but as our border guards assure us, the Armenian soldiers only retaliate when necessary. The soldiers always watch the enemy, and even the border dogs do too. The soldiers’ lives are normal, and for us they are heroes who serve valiantly right on the border of life and death. There is a small prayer location at the position, and soldiers frequently light candles here.

Life at the military bases has a different value. Service at the border means equality between officers and soldiers. They are combat friends and one family, and as in a traditional Armenian family, one person is responsible for the rest, and everyone is responsible for one person.

Peace at the borders is indeed very fragile and unsteady, and its value is perhaps known by the officers and soldiers who bring peace to the Armenian nation.
