In the southeastern border city of Gaziantep (Ayntap), Turkey, a soldier escaped from his military base, raided a shopping center, and took its workers as prisoners.
Large numbers of police, gendarmerie ambulances, and rescue workers arrived at the scene.
After the police intervened, the soldier agreed to lay down arms and surrender.
The Turkish site announced that no one was wounded or killed during the incident. An investigation is underway.
