President of the “Russian-Armenians’ Union,” businessman Ara Abrahamyan, who announced in 2016 that he would be participating in the parliamentary elections of 2017, has not confirmed whether he will now be participating in the upcoming snap elections. He told reporters at “Novosti-Armenia” that there were several reasons why he did not participate in the last parliamentary elections, despite the fact that he was well-prepared.
There was information in the news that he did not participate in the last National Assembly elections due to health issues.
“Now I am focusing on the present issues. I personally am not preparing to participate, but I have always participated in the life of the country as a public official,” he said.
Reporters asked if Abrahamyan decides not to participate in the elections, which political party would he support? “You reminded me, I have to think about whom I would support if I myself do not participate,” he answered.
