Head of the “Yelq” faction Lena Nazaryan announced during the National Assembly session, “The “Yelq” faction nominated Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan as candidate for Prime Minister of Armenia. This nomination is of a formal nature and our goal is simply to go along with procedures outlined in the Constitution. We call upon the National Assembly to not elect a prime minister so that we can dissolve parliament.”
Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Mikayel Melkumyan said that they also think that snap elections need to take place in December and that they will respect the procedure which will be taken in order to achieve that.
