On October 24, within the framework of the working visit to Saint Petersburg the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met with the CSTO PA Responsible Secretary Pyotr Ryabukhin.
The sides touched upon the Armenian deputies’ active participation, and debated issues concerning the organizing of the works of the CSTO PA Council and plenary sittings. They talked about the regional security problems. In this context Eduard Sharmazanov noted: “As a CSTO member state the challenges of the security are the most important problems for Armenia. We are exclusively for the peaceful settlement of all conflicts and we find that the Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship is the only acceptable format for the solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. All attempts of Turkey and Azerbaijan for changing the format of the Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship are unacceptable and condemnable.”
