A meeting took place at the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul between the ministers of foreign affairs of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. The three of them held a press conference together. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, regarding the Artsakh conflict, said,
“Turkey, on any platform and in any situation, will continue to defend Georgia’s and Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. We always emphasize that everywhere. We will continue to carry out work with Georgia and Azerbaijan so that the problems both countries have will be solved through peaceful means, in accordance with international law, and through the fundamentals of territorial integrity.”
The Turkish official also spoke about different issues, where he spoke of the importance of collaboration between the three countries in the military, energy, and economic spheres.
According to Cavusoglu, the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) plays an important role in the collaborations between the three countries, as well as the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars roadway. In Cavusoglu’s opinion, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars roadway is beneficial to all three countries.
