“This was beneficial for certain people. Let society assume whom I’m speaking about. Perhaps they initiated all necessary means and it didn’t work out. If it didn’t work out, it is simple to count and figure out that the number of people who supported the new Electoral Code was enough. Why some RPA and ARF members who become revolutionaries did not show up is a rhetorical question,” deputy Tigran Urikhanyan told reporters regarding the second rejection of the new Electoral Code in the National Assembly.
According to him, the rejection of the new Electoral Code is an opportunity for the former authorities to enter parliament with many participants in the upcoming snap elections in December through the rating system. “People will be voting for certain individuals, taking into consideration their friendly and familial ties, without taking into consideration whether those people will be working in favor of the RPA. The rating mechanism will work in favor of the RPA.”
According to Tigran Urikhanyan, the rejection of the new Electoral Code is the first phase of restoring to the old order. “This will have an effect on the quality of the revolution and the future of the country’s advancements.”
