Both citizen groups and representatives of other political parties will be included in the ‘Bright Armenia’ political party’s pre-election lists for the upcoming snap parliamentary elections on December 9th. ‘Bright Armenia’ has representatives in both Yerevan and the regions who will prove to be serious competition. The head of Bright Armenia, Edmon Marukyan, spoke to ‘Sputnik Armenia’ reporters about this.
Responding to the question of what other political parties said and whether BA will follow the My Step alliance’s example and include former members of the RPA, Marukyan said, “We decided to not include such people in our lists as long as they are able to gather votes from anywhere. This is regarding those people who may dim the light of Bright Armenia even a little bit.”
According to Edmon Marukyan, he receives offers every day from famous figures that they can bring 8,000 votes in from certain districts for BA. “We thank them, but those people cannot be a part of our list. I won’t say any names. We aren’t so small to take such a step.”
