World-renowned speakers, including two Nobel Prize winners and participants of the EU’s largest research and innovation programme Horizon2020 gathered last month in Armenia for a large-scale scientific conference focusing on chemistry topics.
The ‘Frontiers in Chemistry’ conference was supported by the EU Delegation to Armenia and Groningen University (Netherlands), in partnership with Yerevan State University.
“Education is important for Armenia as a driver of change,” said EU Ambassador to Armenia Piotr Świtalski at the event opening. “We, the EU, are ready to assist our Armenian partners. International links are also key – this is why this conference is so important.”
Armenia is an associate member of the Horizon2020 programme, which supports innovation and research in Europe and our partner countries. “We are looking forward to successful applications and good projects from Armenia,” added Ambassador Świtalski.
