“We know about the prime minister’s high ratings. His force will be first. Understanding this, we hope to be the second force- the one that keeps the first in check,” said Bright Armenia party council member Gevorg Gorgisyan regarding the awaited snap parliamentary elections on December 9th.
According to him, Bright Armenia is the only force that has natural potential and snapshots. It will use professional policies and present itself correctly. “There needs to be a new political culture in the new parliament: diverse politics. There need to be better solutions as a result of debates than there were in the dissolved parliament, where the RPA used the “we’re the majority and that’s it, there will be no more discussions” tactic… Therefore, we will be that restraining force.”
Gorgisyan believes that a government with only one force cannot be a good one. That will lead to a standstill. “That is also against democracy.”
