The “Gazprom” organization and the Ministry of Energy of Russia are negotiating with Armenia about decreasing gas tariffs. Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia Garegin Baghramyan spoke to reporters about this. He assured that the negotiations are regarding decreasing gas tariffs and forming a gas price at the border and internal structures. “I won’t speak any more about that so as to not cause issues in the negotiations process.”
According to the acting minister, if the negotiations have positive results, the decrease in price of gas tariffs will have an affect on the latest consumer. As far as when the change in price will go into effect, Baghramyan said that it will become clear when the negotiations are complete.
Baghramyan also wished to explain announcements that stated that the head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission and Baghramyan are getting in the way of changing the price in gas tariffs. “They say that there are mechanisms that they want to present to the prime minister and that we’re getting in the way of that. This is absurd. I officially state that if there is someone who has mechanisms and budgets, I am ready to invite the prime minister in tomorrow in your presence to discuss all monetary issues.”
