A reporter asked President Armen Sarkissian a question regarding increasing the authority of the President of Armenia. Armen Sarkissian said that whether his powers will be increased or decreased does not matter to him. He that, when he was offered the position, the powers of the president were outlined in the constitution. It doesn’t matter to him how much or how little power he has, because he clearly can understand what he needs to do in order to serve his country. “Baghramyan 26 is one of Armenia’s state buildings. If the law has changed, I will go back to Baghramyan 26. I will not change because of that.”
Another reporter asked him what his relationship with former President Serzh Sargsyan is like, especially since Serzh Sargsyan offered Armen Sarkissian the position of President. Armen Sarkissian said that he has not seen Serzh Sargsyan lately. “I have not spoken to him recently.”
