Deputy from the RPA faction, head of the Christian Democratic Union of Armenia Khosrov Harutyunyan will not be participating as part of the RPA ballot in the upcoming elections, despite having received an offer.
Khosrov Harutyunyan was offered a place in the top ten candidates on the RPA ballot. Khosrov Harutyunyan simply said that both the RPA and the CDUA are pleased with their collaborations over the past few years.
Aravot asked Harutyunyan if this means that when the RPA was the ruling party, he was with them, but now that it’s weak, he’s leaving. Harutyunyan replied that if he was going to leave the RPA, he would have done so sooner, but he has remained loyal to all political agreements.
The CDUA will not be participating in the upcoming elections, but it will not be excluded from political processes. We will witness several collaborations in the future. Harutyunyan did not mention any names or agreements, as they are still being discussed.
