“The current system does not allow for political competition, and besides that, we find that this promotes the resurrection of an authoritarian regime,” head of the “Yerkir Tsirani” party Zaruhi Postanjyan told reporters.
Postanjyan also said that there is unprofessional youth on the election lists and the question of whether or not they will be able to handle challenges arises. She noted that not only have the behaviors of the former regime repeated, but the current regime plays a more dangerous role. According to Postanjyan, 5-6 percent of our state budget goes to anonymous funds outside of Armenia. “Under this regime, the enemy moved its positions closer to Nakhichevan, and is 500 meters away from our border. Until then, the enemy was 5,000 meters away.”
Postanjyan stated that she had been saying since 2017 that Nikol Pashinyan’s Yelq alliance was the work of Baghramyan 26. “All of those plans were rejected by us, it’s not like Yelq received all those votes… The new elections and the new parliament provide an opportunity to start anew. But nothing will change in our daily lives. The supposedly overthrown Serzh Sargsyan’s party will be participating in the snap elections that were a result of a supposed revolution. This is all fake.”
