Individuals were included in the Bright Armenia political party’s pre-election list who had a large to play in the formation of the party. Head of Bright Armenia Edmon Marukyan spoke about this with reporters. He said that there are two new faces in the party: Editor of the 1in.am and Zhamanak newspapers Arman Babajanyan, who has always been a colleague of Bright Armenia, and former member of the Central Bank Council, and current Advisor to the President of the Central Bank, economist Arkady Khachatryan.
Edmon Marukyan expressed his belief once more that the party will most likely be the second force in the new parliament after the My Step alliance. “We have the proper ratings and potential for that. When we enter parliament, I will announce whether or not we will be the opposition.”
According to Marukyan, his party has never entered any coalition or agreement with the former regime, and instead, it had a great role to play as part of the Yelq alliance in the changes made in the country. “Bright Armenia has the legitimate right to be the second force in parliament. That is how it will be and that is what we will fight for.” The snap parliamentary elections will take place on December 9th.
