“I don’t want to compare individuals, but what is the ideology of this list? Has it been announced so that society can understand and give evaluations in the future? Are they liberals, socialists, or something else? If a political force does not have an ideology and they gather around one person and turn his backpack into an object of worship, individuals become secondary for me,” RPA Executive Body member Samvel Nikoyan told reporters regarding the My Step alliance’s pre-election list. “This is an issue of creating passions. Having elements of idol worship in the political arena is only temporary,” he said.
According to Samvel Nikoyan, there are educated men and women on Nikol Pashinyan’s alliance list, but that political force does not know what it will be doing tomorrow. “But the RPA has great potential which is needed by society. That is why we will be participating in the elections. If any other political force besides us can consider themselves the opposition, I will be surprised. Some people call themselves the opposition, but there cannot be an opposing force to the opposition. We plan to be the second force in parliament and to be the true opposition.”
