The secretary of the Tsarukyan faction, Vahe Enfiajyan, was asked how he would comment on the Belarusian MFA’s response to Nikol Pashinyan’s statement, and taking into consideration Gagik Tsarukyan’s friendly relationship with Lukashenko, is it possible for Tsarukyan to intervene in these tense relations? Enfiajyan said, “The authorities of every country carry out inter-political activities and this is not an exception. We need to try and understand what types of statements are being made, because, in connection to the CSTO, I think that we need to try our best to take advantage of all opportunities, especially on an international platform, in order to benefit Armenia and the Armenian people.”
When asked about whether or not he has anything to say about the response since his party claims they support the revolution, and now the values of the revolution are being ridiculed by Belarus, Enfiajyan said, “We do not accept the approach that the statement needs to be strictly evaluated. I do not think it is appropriate to focus on such statements. One of the most important political processes was initiated in our country. I personally consider the evaluations made by Lukashenko to be unacceptable. Gagik Tsarukyan has always used his personal connections to solve economic and social problems in our country.”
