Nikol Pashinyan welcomes Île-de-France Regional Council President

Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation led by President of the Regional Council of Île-de-France Valérie Pécresse. Note that a roadmap on the cooperation was signed today between Yerevan and the Regional Council of Île-de-France for 2018-2021, according to which projects of exchange of experience will be implemented in the spheres of waste management, urban transport management, city planning, culture and education.

Highlighting the need for building closer relationships between Yerevan and Île-de-France, Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Armenian-French relations are developing dynamically as evidenced by reciprocated high-level visits between the two countries in recent months. According to Nikol Pashinyan, Île-de-France is one of the most effectively managed regions of France, and exchange of experience will be productive for Armenia.

Valérie Pécresse highly assessed the role of the French-Armenian community in the public, political and cultural life of of Île-de-France. She gave details of her meeting with Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan.

Welcoming the signing of the aforementioned instrument of cooperation, Nikol Pashinyan noted that there are successful models of bilateral centralized and decentralized cooperation between the two countries, and Armenia is keen to master and implement advanced management practices.

The parties exchanged views on attracting French companies into areas of mutual interest.
The Acting Prime Minister of Armenia congratulated Valérie Pécresse for being awarded the Gold Medal of Yerevan City Council for valuable contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations between Yerevan and Île-de-France.
