‘Pashinyan thinks that he is Armenia’s Lord and Savior’: Ashotyan warns about shame

November 21,2018 20:37

“The Prime Minister, excuse my vocabulary, is obviously violating the Electoral Code of Armenia,” Deputy of the RPA faction Armen Ashotyan told reporters about Nikol Pashinyan’s speeches during his visit to the Gegharkunik region. “When we had a Prime Minister from our own party, we did everything so that our Prime Minister would remain until six, and only after that would he get involved in election campaigns,” Armen Ashotyan emphasized.

Armen Ashotyan is one of the RPA’s candidates for deputy in the upcoming snap elections.

According to Ashotyan, “During the Prime Minister’s visits to the regions, he is supposed to have a ministerial agenda that uses state resources. Therefore, Pashinyan has no right to make statements supporting or against anyone from the stage.” Reporters asked Ashotyan to point out specifically which one of Pashinyan’s statements were of such nature. Ashotyan said, “That is an embarrassment. If we were to do such a thing, you would have torn us apart. But now you are trying to defend Pashinyan. Don’t defend him, Pashinyan thinks that he’s Armenia’s Lord and Savior and the “alpha-omega”…”
