The 2019 state budget plan was voted upon during the special session of parliament. 66 people voted in favor of it, 4 voted against it, and 2 abstained.
Before the vote, Vice Speakers Eduard Sharmazanov and Arpine Hovhannisyan announced that they will be voting against the state budget plan. “I will join my colleagues in this flashmob,” Ashotyan said, due to the fact that he does not want to be responsible for this budget. There is no hope for economic development in the future. Therefore, expressing his disappointment, Ashotyan said that he will also be voting against the plan.
Deputy of the RPA faction Vahram Baghdasaryan said that the RPA’s position has not changed, but they will not control their colleagues’ opinions. Therefore, they can vote however they want to.
