“The Rule of Law party will be participating in the elections due to the fact that a wonderful process took place in Armenia in April called a revolution. That allowed the country to be led towards new developments. We supported the revolution since the very beginning, and we were able to do so in our own way without playing games over the past seven months, with the goal of making all processes irreversible,” head of the Rule of Law party Artur Baghdasaryan told reporters.
According to him, seven months is not enough to clean up a thirty-year mess, but it is enough to create a vision of the country’s development. “We have seen very poor plans. Yes, fighting against corruption should be one of the goals of the revolution, as well as returning stolen money to the state budget, but the main goal should be creating opportunities to develop the country. We have not seen any plan for Armenia’s development that pleased us.”
Artur Baghdasaryan said that he sees growing threats in regional security, meanwhile the Armenian government has not presented any noticeable plans to fight against these threats. “New and serious threats are being made against Armenia, which a strong and resolved team can fight against. For example, Armenia is not participating in regional plans for oil pipelines, gas pipelines, and railroads, but the foundations for such projects have not even been presented over the past seven months.
The snap parliamentary elections will take place on December 9th. Campaigns will begin on November 26th. The Rule of Law party will be participating with the “Legality, justice, security” slogan.
