‘Budget plan does not predetermine revolutionary growth, but regression’: Gagik Minasyan

November 23,2018 15:52

“When we criticize the interim government, those who oppose us criticize us for that. But there are two vulnerable parts to that,” deputy of the RPA, member of the RPA Executive Body Gagik Minasyan told reporters. According to him, it’s obvious that the authorities do not have anything to say in regards to criticisms of the RPA, otherwise they would have said something. They would not be saying that this or that took place during your time in power.

According to Gagik Minasyan, when such things are said, it turns into an attempt to turn the relationship between the authorities and the opposition into a street fight. “The authorities do not understand that the role of the opposition is to provide constructive criticism, which is aimed towards getting rid of the authorities’ flaws. Therefore, I call upon the authorities to respond to criticism with arguments.”

Gagik Minasyan also said that the budget plan will not bring about revolutionary growth, but instead regression. “Particularly, if 7.5 percent economic growth was recorded last year, the percentage for this year is 6.5, and for next year is 4.9. The decrease in growth is obvious. Besides that, there is not a huge amount of growth in investments. Therefore, we cannot expect growth in exports either.”
