President Armen Sarkissian received today organizers and a group of participants of the “2018: Turning Year for South Caucasus” international roundtable held in Yerevan on November 26-27. The purpose of the international conference initiated by the Scientific Association for Caucasian Studies and Dialogue Moscow-based organization is to discuss regional issues, assess existing and probable challenges and risks.
The President of Armenia stressed the importance of close cooperation between scientific and research institutions of Armenia and Russia, works of the political analysts and experts.
The guests presented to Armen Sarkissian the objectives of the event and noted that would like to better understand processes going on in Armenia, to get a more objective perspective.
President Sarkissian viewed as important stability and predictability: “That’s the most important factor, and I, as the President of Armenia, will do my best to ensure stability,” Armen Sarkissian underscored.
The President noted that discussions, analyses in general allow to generate new ideas, to outline future steps and understand where we are heading, what objective we pursue, and what our interaction with the world will be.
