November 28,2018 16:38

“Our position is that Robert Kocharyan needs to remain in prison. We have such foundations that state that there is a need for another investigation so that the second president can remain in prison,” said the General Prosecutor of Armenia Artur Davtyan.

“Regarding the existence of court acts, we need to understand that the facts that exist today regarding the events of March 1st are different from the ones presented in 2008.” Regarding his own participating in the criminal case, Artur Davtyan said, “The acts that are in connection to Robert Kocharyan’s legal case have especially become an object for discussion. I personally have filed a complaint to the appropriate bodies. The Court of Cassation found my complaint sufficient and sent it to the Court of Appeals for a new investigation. I found it to be necessary that I present all the issues to the Court of Appeals. As you know, the session was interrupted but will continue. I will participate in the next session and will present our own position as well.”
