Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during a rally in Sisian, said that democracy is for everyone who votes with their own free will. According to him, he is not referring to something that benefits only his party. When he refers to freedom, he means freedom for all citizens, regardless of whether they agree with him or not.
He said that representatives found evidence of election bribes distributed by the RPA during last year’s Yerevan City Council elections. According to Nikol Pashinyan, that case entered court recently, and the pre-investigative body found evidence that 130,000 dollars in election bribes were distributed from the Komitas 26 address. Eleven people from the RPA election office are being tried as defendants.
“I want this to have a serious impact on those who are thinking of distorting the free will of Armenian citizens illegally. I am referring to everyone, even those who think that they can provide votes for us. We don’t need any false votes. Votes that were given in such a way will belittle me and the revolution.”
