Vice President of the National Assembly and RPA candidate Arpine Hovhannisyan told Aravot in an interview, “I advise Nikol Pashinyan to cease making commentary containing hate speech. Until he realizes that he’s the Prime Minister, Armenian citizens will not be able to realize it. Disappointment awaits him on December 9th and the morning of December 10th. His desired outcome will not take place.”
Arpine Hovhannisyan was asked if she had a G-Wagon vehicle. This was in the context of how the RPA frequently talks about its values, but Nikol Pashinyan told them not to speak of values since they have none. They sold the dignity of Armenian citizens and bought themselves G-Wagons. Arpine Hovhannisyan responded, “I can’t respond to Nikol Pashinyan’s statements in the same style because that is not my style. I don’t have a G-Wagon and I never had one. I have not violated the dignity of our citizens. Mr. Pashinyan, however, violates the rights and dignity of the citizens who do not agree with him every day. He must realize that he is the country’s Prime Minister. It would be great for Pashinyan to understand that he is not the legal system’s Lord and Savior before making such statements.”
When asked if she accepts that robbery took place while the RPA was the ruling party, Hovhannisyan said, “I do not agree with this statement. I also do not agree with the Commander-in-Chief speaking about a body subordinate to him in such a way. If this phenomenon did take place, then a criminal case needs to be opened, it needs to be investigated thoroughly, and the appropriate decision needs to be made.”
