Candidate from the RPA Eduard Sharmazanov made an announcement. “Two or three people stood in front of my campaign office in Vanadzor and unsuccessfully tried to launch an operation to distribute money. Someone videotaped it. We have come to the conclusion that this was done so that either on election day or the day before, information can spread that Sharmazanov was distributing bribes in front of his campaign office.”
In an interview with Aravot, Sharmazanov called for international observers’ attention, and said, “This is condemnable, this is propaganda, and this is black PR. It’s obvious that the regime is in a state of panic, and that shows clearly. I officially announce that Pashinyan’s current administration is not able to create equal conditions in order for voters to have free and just elections. This is obvious and unacceptable. I call upon all international observers and organizations to pay attention to this atmosphere of hatred that exists in our country, particularly towards someone modest like myself.”
Sharmazanov also said that he appealed to the appropriate bodies. The media department of the Armenian General Prosecutor’s Office announced that Sharmazanov’s announcement was sent to the Lori regional department of the Armenian police for investigative activities.
