Reporters asked international observers about whether they worry about the fact that there will be no opposition in parliament and the fact that the Central Electoral Commission recorded low voter participation. Special coordinator of the OSCE mission Peter Osusky had a noteworthy response. “There are no rules on how parliament needs to be formed. The people expressed their will and we can’t judge that. Regarding whether there is or isn’t an opposition, we will see this in the upcoming years. Regarding citizens’ participation, that is their free will. In my country, Slovakia, it’s the same image; people stay at home and live with the decisions others make for them.”
Observers also spoke about legal changes. Reporters asked about violations that they saw during past elections that were not present in these elections. Observers spoke about how there were buses in the past that brought people to voting stations, and accumulations near the voting stations.
