“I pity the fact that the Republican Party (RPA) cannot accurately determine its issues yet again. Instead of looking at themselves and understanding what the election results reflect, instead of evaluating their quality and the things Armenia has achieved, they continue their same strategy,” representative of the My Step alliance, political scientist Hamazasp Danielyan told Aravot regarding the RPA’s announcement after the snap parliamentary elections on December 9th.
“As far as whether or not they want to have some chances in the Armenian political system, it’s their decision. That opportunity will open when they start to make founded decisions about problems and stop making unfounded claims,” he said.
Regarding criticism that the new parliament, which consists of My Step, Bright Armenia, and Prosperous Armenia, is one-sided, Hamazasp Danielyan disagreed. “For example, no one can claim that My Step and Prosperous Armenia are on the same side.”
