“We had an issue with being known by society. The other problem was the low participation rate. Our voters did not go to vote. In any case, I give the elections a positive evaluation,” member of the Republic party Tehmina Vardanyan said regarding the fact that the ‘Menk (Us)’ alliance did not pass the limit to enter parliament during the snap parliamentary elections on December 9th.
She continued, “I am surprised by the number of votes some parties received. I was simply not waiting for the fact, however, that no bribes were handed out and that these elections took place without any essential violations. I was not expecting this. These elections did not have big problems, so I can congratulate all the forces that got into parliament.”
Tehmina Vardanyan emphasized that she has many friends in My Step and Bright Armenia, and she knows almost everyone in both parties. “It’s bad that only three forces got into parliament and that there is only one side in parliament. I will voice my opinions when deputies receive their mandates. I consider some candidates’ from My Step’s inclusion in parliament to be a problem. There are good candidates who are worthy of being in parliament. I hope that political and knowledgeable candidates will make it into parliament.”
