Prosperous Armenia deputy Tigran Urikhanyan alerted that some votes in favor of him had disappeared. “Are these quality elections?” He posted on his Facebook page records of several voting stations and of the Central Electoral Commission’s published statistics. Urikhanyan told Aravot that there were approximately 60 less votes, and if this spreads to other voting stations, it will be obvious that half of the votes disappeared.
When we asked if he would demand a recount, Urikhanyan said that doing so would not change anything because station records are correct. The CEC’s statistics changed later on.
When asked about if it’s a technical issue, why was there a lack of some votes in several voting stations, and not an increase in votes, he answered, “In some places, there are more, and in some places, there are less. The final results will change. This is a technical issue.” He assured that it’s unlikely for the numbers to not be fixed.
