Before the elections, Republican Party candidate David Shahnazaryan said that justice does not exist in our country and that justice has turned into a body that works for Nikol Pashinyan. According to Shahnazaryan, this is proven by the second portion of secret recordings, and how Nikol Pashinyan was not called to be interrogated after they were published. Acting Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan told Aravot that he does not agree that this is a political vocabulary for campaigns. According to him, we should not discuss the contents of the secret recordings, because those who made the recordings had that as a goal. Besides that, according to Zeynalyan, we are attacking a person’s right to privacy.
Republicans have announced the creation of the Reject Nikol movement. Artak Zeynalyan, regarding the future intent of this movement, said, “People are free to voice their opinions and use the format which society and political forces used before the revolution. I think that it’s time for the former authorities to understand that format.”
