Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan, besides visiting second President Robert Kocharyan, also visited the detained Manvel Grigoryan and had a private discussion with him. Arman Tatoyan spoke about this with reporters. He informed that, as a result of the private discussion with Grigoryan, the HRD office sent statements to the legal body carrying out the sentencing, as well as to the Ministry of Justice.
“I can only say that we recorded the poor state of his physical and mental health,” Arman Tatoyan said. He also informed that the HRD doctor occasionally visits Manvel Grigoryan.
According to Manvel Grigoryan’s lawyers, he has over ten different illnesses, and it is impossible to provide him with the appropriate medical treatment in prison. Manvel Grigoryan was accused of illegally possessing weapons and of stealing large amounts of property.
