The voting process of the parliamentary elections on December 9th was carried out in a peaceful atmosphere, without any tensions. Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan spoke about this with reporters. According to him, there was also no tension in the work of the media, but such problems constantly took place in the past.
According to Arman Tatoyan, there is also noticeable movement in making schools apolitical environments. “This was also recorded during the Yerevan City Council elections. These elections were also notable due to the fact that there was growth in hate speech on social media.”
Arman Tatoyan said that the snap parliamentary elections should have been an opportunity to neutralize the intolerant atmosphere.
