Advisor to the President of Armenia and head of the International Center for Human Development Tevan Poghosyan told reporters that he does not think that the changes in government in Artsakh over the past few days will impact our security. “Can you explain what happened that will cause a turning point? In the end, if the same people remain in the same positions, new professionals and new experiences will not come about.”
He also spoke to reporters about Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko’s statement to Nikol Pashinyan. He said that Lukashenko successfully took advantage of the situation in order to discuss his country’s interests. “He made statements that were beneficial to him and to his country. Our problem here is our oversights in foreign policy. We have not established the proper resources over the past 30 years to avoid such problems.”
According to Poghosyan, the only way for a Belarusian candidate to not become the Secretary General of the CSTO is to negotiate.
