Around 200 young people and specialists from all regions of Armenia engaged in high technology, start-ups and innovation met in Armenia’s second largest city, Gyumri, from 7–8 December for the ‘Empowering Regions through High Tech Forum’.
Organised within the EU4Business SMEDA (Support to SME Development in Armenia) project, the event provided a platform for sharing experiences, presenting start-ups and companies, establishing new connections and learning from guest speakers about new developments in the global IT and high-tech sectors.
The forum was attended by a number of Armenian high-ranking officials and diplomats working in the country, including the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski. All of them emphasised the significance of the forum for the equal development of regions of Armenia and for increasing regional competitiveness.
