Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke about whether or not there will be a Ministry of Diaspora during the opening of the “Neruzh” plan in Dilijan. One of the participants of the project asked Pashinyan about this.
“We are still in the discussion phase, and overall, our biggest issue in the state government system is to reach the most effective level of governing, including in our relations with the diaspora. There is a high possibility that we will not have a Ministry of Diaspora within the framework of the government,” Pashinyan said.
He also assured that this doesn’t mean that we will not make our ties with the diaspora more effective through other structures. “The most important institutional problem is that all of our ministries have relationships with the diaspora. There is no exception.” And, as Pashinyan explained, it is important to understand what agenda we have with the diaspora in which sector.
