After the first session of the My Step alliance, reporters asked Lilit Makunts about how her candidacy for being the head of the My Step alliance faction in parliament got a negative reaction from some people.
Lilit Makunts said, “This is a decision made based off of suggestions by our political team, which was accepted by the alliance. Therefore, it was accepted by all candidates. Being the leader of an alliance with 88 deputies will be difficult, especially in the phase of increasing real activities to carry out mandates. Therefore, nothing will be easy, especially considering the fact that this is the first time there will be so many of us in parliament.”
When asked about how she said, after being appointed Minister of Culture, that culture is ‘within her,’ and what she would say about the political field, Lilit Makunts said, “Just as I said then, I will say it again now: culture is within me, and regardless of where I am or what political structure I will be a part of, it will not come out of me.”
