Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today received Adama Ouane, Administrator of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF).
Greeting the guest, the Acting Prime Minister said he had kept warm memories of the 17th Francophonie Summit held in Yerevan this October, which was a success in terms of both organization and participation.
Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the ongoing cooperation between OIF and Armenia, noting that during its presidency, Armenia will make every effort to meet the challenges facing the Organization in a bid to enhance and strengthen its reputation worldwide.
Thankful for the reception, Adama Ouane said that the Yerevan-hosted 17th Summit of La Francophonie was a great success, highlighting the personal efforts exerted by the Acting Prime Minister of Armenia and the Republic of Armenia in this matter. He expressed conviction that Armenia has to play an important role within the International Organization of La Francophonie.
The OIF Administrator noted that he had come to Armenia with a special mission: according to the established procedure, as the chair country Armenia has to sign the employment contract for Minister of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda Louise Mushikiwabo, who is the new Secretary General of OIF.
As the head of the country that chairs the OIF, Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed the employment contract for the Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie and handed it to the Administrator of the Organization.
