‘Revolution of Roses’ in the National Assembly: Vice Speakers elected, Enfiajyan made nice gesture to Mane Tandilyan

During a secret vote, Alen Simonyan was elected Vice Speaker of the National Assembly with 109 votes. 130 deputies participated in the vote. One of the ballots was void, and 20 deputies voted against him.

124 deputies voted in favor of Lena Nazaryan. Three of the ballots were void, and three deputies voted against her.

Vahe Enfiajyan was elected the opposition Vice Speaker. 108 deputies voted in favor of him, and three ballots were considered void. The other opposition candidate was Mane Tandilyan, for whom 19 deputies voted.

Vahe Enfiajyan made a nice gesture towards Mane Tandilyan. He gave her a bouquet of white roses and shook hands with Edmon Marukyan. Naira Zohrabyan joked, “This is a revolution of roses.”
