“Andranik Manukyan’s issue is not a political one in order for it to have ties with the political party,” Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan told reporters. Reporters asked if Prosperous Armenia is preparing to support former Ambassador to Ukraine Andranik Manukyan, especially since they supported him during sessions of parliament.
The former Ambassador to Ukraine is Gagik Tsarukyan’s in-law. Manukyan’s son, Davit Manukyan, is a Prosperous Armenia deputy.
Gagik Tsarukyan does not agree that everyone in Prosperous Armenia supported Andranik Manukyan. He reminded the reporters that Arman Abovyan was not supportive, despite having been Manukyan’s assistant. “The party did not give any response. Only Abovyan did, and his response was a personal one.”
Gagik Tsarukyan also added that he does not have any information about how Andranik Manukyan is preparing to file a lawsuit for the accusations made against him. Tsarukyan said that this is not an issue regarding the political party. It doesn’t have to do with them and they are not getting involved. “This is a personal issue.”
