“They’re creating excessive committees for their colleagues. This parliament does not have an opposition. I’m not the only one saying this. People who are against the Republican Party said this, as well as, for example, former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan. People believe that there is no real opposition,” Republican Party Spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters after the RPA Executive Body session.
Sharmazanov was asked what the RPA is planning to do in five years. Sharmazanov said that the party does not operate based on what-ifs, and it instead considers priorities to be the most important, one of which is to solve the Artsakh conflict based on pro-Armenian interests.
He specifically emphasized, “These authorities do not serve Armenian interests. I’m not saying that they’re traitors, but we have seen through their policies that we have serious problems in this government and parliament. In almost every sector, Pashinyan’s government has experienced failures and descent.” Eduard Sharmazanov said that he wishes success for everyone leaving the RPA, and he especially wishes success for those remaining.
