Former Deputy Head of the National Security Service Gurgen Yeghiazaryan is convinced that the detained second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan will be freed due to having strong lawyers. “I believe in his lawyers. As far as the wiretappings go, it shows that one person is behind all of this: Nikol Pashinyan. Time will only tell why he is so fixated on Robert Kocharyan. It may be that Nikol Pashinyan is a small part of a huge plan,” Gurgen Yeghiazaryan told reporters.
Regarding statements about the events of March 1st being completely uncovered, Yeghiazaryan said, “Five months have gone by. If everything has been uncovered, why don’t we know who the killers were? Why are their names being kept secret? The truth is that nothing has been uncovered. Every centimeter of the March 1st protests has been photographed, including where the people were killed and how. But no, Pashinyan has problems with Kocharyan, and it will become clear what those problems are.”
Yeghiazaryan continued, “One person solves all the issues in the judicial system: Nikol Pashinyan. I have proof that he personally released Manvel Grigoryan. Nikol needs for that system to protest on the streets just like he needs air so that sentences can be determined on the streets and not in court.”
