Ararat Mirzoyan Receives Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia

On January 24, the President of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Seyed Kazem Sadjadi.

Welcoming the guest, the Head of the parliament highlighted the current level of the Armenian-Iranian relations anchored on the firm bases of centuries-old friendship and mutual trust.

Ararat Mirzoyan has highly assessed the Ambassador’s efforts and consistent work in making more inclusive the agenda of bilateral relations, assuring that the National Assembly is ready to support any mutually beneficial aimed at its expansion.

Touching upon the inter-parliamentary cooperation, the Head of the legislative body emphasized the cooperation of the Friendship Groups which would promote the further activation of bilateral ties.

Congratulating Ararat Mirzoyan on assuming the post Seyed Kazem Sadjadi wished him success. Evaluating the effective cooperation between Iran and Armenia on the international platforms the Ambassador has assured that Iran has always been and continues remaining next to Armenia.

Seyed Kazem Sadjadi attached importance to the mutual visits of high level, noting that they make closer the relations between the two countries and peoples.

The interlocutors have discussed the agenda of bilateral cooperation in many spheres, highlighted particularly the boosting of the trade-economic ties and underlined that there is still non realized great potential of the development and expansion of the Armenian-Iranian cooperation. The sides expressed conviction that the effective use of the opportunities given by the free economic zones of Meghri and Araz could promote the deepening the economic ties.

The Ambassador conveyed Ali Larijani’s greetings and the invitation of visiting Iran to Ararat Mirzoyan.
