Soon, the residents of Yerevan will have the opportunity to present plans and suggestions to the municipality that will be financed by the city budget. The equivalent of 1 million USD in AMD will be set aside for this project. Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan told reporters about the details of this project. “The best plan, which will be decided by a vote on the internet, will be the one that is financed.” Marutyan assured that fake profiles will not be able to vote, since the plan will be written in such a way for that to be impossible. “Everyone who votes will have to present their passport details. Therefore, there will be no fake voting.”
Marutyan also assured that the salaries of daycare workers will increase by 20 percent. “We will likely be able to start that in March or April. Directors and assistant directors will currently not be included in the plan.”
The mayor said that the average salary for a daycare worker right now is between 70-80 thousand AMD.
