Aravot asked EU ambassador Piotr Switalski about whether he had noticed the presence of hate speech in Armenia. He said, “Yes. Hate speech is a very worrisome occurrence not only in Armenia, but elsewhere. The EU is particularly worried about hate speech in Armenia. We advise the government to study up on legislation and to try to understand how they can make the situation better. Besides that, we advise society to fight against hate speech more actively.”
