According to information provided to Aravot, the Investigative Committee searched the home of Prosperous Armenia party leader and National Assembly deputy Gagik Tsarukyan. The search lasted for several hours. The search was decided upon after the armed incident at the Partez restaurant in Abovyan on January 29th.
Besides the son of former Prosperous Armenia deputy Melik Manukyan (Sshi Melo) and his other relatives, Gagik Tsarukyan’s son Nver Tsarukyan was also reportedly involved in this incident.
However, Gagik Tsarukyan’s spokesperson denied Tsarukyan’s involvement in this incident.
Aravot tried to confirm information about the search of Gagik Tsarukyan’s home from the Investigative Committee. The Investigative Committee’s Press Relations department said that 20 searches were conducted in connection with this case, but did not confirm whether Tsarukyan’s home was also searched. Gagik Tsarukyan’s spokesperson Iveta Tonoyan promised Aravot that she would answer questions at a later time.
