On January 30, Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan answered several questions on his Facebook page. He also informed that he will be moving into the government summer home.
Aravot asked Ararat Mirzoyan’s assistant Vahan Kostanyan whether moving into the government residence is outlined by the law. “Yes,” Vahan Kostanyan said.
We also asked why former Speaker of the National Assembly Galust Sahakyan did not move into the residence.
“I think he refused to. But in Ararat Mirzoyan’s case, there are problems for his security guards where he lives now, so it is simply easier for everyone that he moves to the government summer home,” Vahan Kostanyan said.
During one of his speeches in 2014, former Speaker Galust Sahakyan said that he would not move into the government residence if it were not necessary. He found living in his own home to be better.
